We represent a growing international company in a very niche industry that is looking for the right person to take ownership of their HR Generalist duties and help guide the department to provide the best services for the company and its employees.


Up front, the must-haves are HR generalist experience, being bi-lingual in Spanish and English, and the drive and desire to help the company continue to grow and prosper.

Key contributor in the day-to-day operations of the human resources department. Performs daily HR function that supports operational aspects of the department including the administration and coordination of onboarding and off boarding employees. Assists with employee relations counseling, leaves and exit interviews.


Responsibilities and Associated Duties:

  • Maintain applicant and employee data within the HRIS system. Creates and analyzes reports as necessary.

  • Provides general HR administrative support on both routine and complex matters.

  • Conducts and monitors background check and drug screening process.

  • Processes new hire paperwork (pre-hire and post hire).

  • Monitors and responds to HR phone calls and emails in a prompt manner.

  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

  • Responsible for supporting key HR initiatives.

  • Assists with investigations concerning HR/legal complaints.

  • Responsible for coordinating and maintaining the leave of absence process.

  • Assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Maintains compliance which includes keeping all electronic files updated (including creation, updates and archiving).

  • Develop positive business relationships with all associates to ensure collaborative and supportive communication.

  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Preferences:

  • Bilingual – English and Spanish (required)

  • Minimum high school diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR related field a plus.

  • 3+ years’ experience in an HR administrative role.

  • 1 year experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred.

  • Ability to Exercise of independent judgment and discretion about significant matters

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion

  • Sound judgment and problem solving skills with a high level of resourcefulness and self-direction

  • Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and trust ensuring all measures are taken to ensure compliance and confidentiality

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Knowledge of current federal and state employment skills

  • Desire to learn and enhance HR knowledge
